In response to media enquiries on the permission given to Louis Farrakhan to enter the UK, the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) has issued the following statement:
Racism, Racial Discrimination and Racial abuse being totally un-Islamic and against the teachings of Islam, The MCB rejects and condemns all forms of racism, including anti-Semitism, Islamophobia and for that matter hatred of any religious or ethnic group.
However, The MCB also believes that unless a person has been convicted for any racist or race-hate crime, restricting his or her movement in the free world would not appear to be justified. But once a person who has been granted entry into the country, he/she can always be so charged if he/she happens to incite racial hatred.
