The Muslim Council of Britain joins the entire nation and Commonwealth in celebrating the 80th birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
‘Her illustrious and long-serving career both as mother and monarch has been a bed-rock both for our internal stability and our standing among the community of nations. Her graceful example will always inspire us and remain a proud chapter in modern British history,’ said Sir Iqbal Sacranie, Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Britain.
‘With calm determination and assured wisdom Her Majesty has guided the ship of the monarchy through the most turbulent of waters as she has done for our nation in a world bedevilled by enormous dangers,’ added Sir Iqbal.
The MCB takes the occasion to congratulate Her Majesty and wishes her many more years of good health and happiness.
